More information about Anne
My passion is to provide individualised integrative health care. This includes preventative health as well as the holistic treatment of chronic disease and specific health problems.
I am an integrative medical practitioner specialising in anti-aging, regenerative and functional medicine. This is an integrative science-based healthcare approach. It treats illness and promotes wellness by focusing on the biochemically unique aspects of each patient and then individually tailoring an intervention to restore physiological and structural balance. It focuses on understanding fundamental physiological processes, the environmental inputs and the genetic predispositions that influence health and disease so that interventions are focused on treating the cause of the problem and not simply masking the symptoms.
I offer patient-centred care, rather than disease-focused treatment. I consider the dynamic balance of internal and external factors that affect functionality, health and well being.
I consider positive vitality to be integral to good health. Being healthy is more than the absence of disease. So I focus on treating physiological dysfunction in such a way that the patient’s quality of life is enhanced. This may include special attention to areas such as hormone balance, diet and nutrition, early detection and prevention or minimisation of degenerative disease as well as a focus on any inflammatory response which may result from a complex chain of events. In addition it includes maintaining cognitive function, exercise and attention to epigenetics.
So I seek to provide a comprehensive, integrated and balanced approach to enhancing well being and providing total health care.
